Hyperliquid Liquidation Map in short
What does Hyperliquid Liquidation Map show?
A heatmap on the price chart showing where liquidation prices of open Hyperliquid positions sit. The brighter the streak, the more positions would be liquidated at that price. The current map extends to the right, and the largest clusters above and below price are labeled with their size. History starts in October 2026.
How to read Hyperliquid Liquidation Map?
- Streaks above price are short liquidations; below price are long liquidations.
- A bright yellow streak is a large cluster: price often reaches it.
- On small timeframes the levels sit beyond the visible range: zoom the price scale out or open 1h–4h.
How to use Hyperliquid Liquidation Map?
- Use it as a target map: where the fuel for a move sits above and below.
- Compare with Liquidation Heatmap: that one is an estimate, this one is open Hyperliquid positions.
- Raise “Contrast” to keep only the largest clusters.
What do you often see on Hyperliquid Liquidation Map?
- Price reaches a bright band no more often than an empty level the same distance away: it has not acted as a magnet.
- An imbalance of liquidations above versus below gives no direction on its own.
- Once price does enter a bright band, forced closes usually speed up the move inside it.
- The map shifts: positions get closed or topped up with margin and the level moves.

0:17How to read Hyperliquid Liquidation Map
The map sits right on the candles; it has no separate panel. Each band is a price where open positions will be closed if the market gets there. The brighter the band, the more money sits at that price, and the largest clusters glow yellow. Bands above the price are short liquidations. Bands below the price are long liquidations. To the right of the last candle is the map right now, and the largest clusters are labeled with their size.
0:45Hyperliquid Liquidation Map settings
The Contrast setting removes small levels, and only the large ones remain. Largest clusters turns on labels for the biggest clusters. And Current map to the right shows the current map on the right. On small timeframes distant levels go off the screen, so zoom out the price scale or open the hourly chart. The main thing to watch is how bands appear and fade. A faded band means those positions were closed.
1:13An example on a real chart
An example. Bitcoin, 15 minutes, October 15. Since the night dense bands of long liquidations lie below the price around 80,500. At 5:28 a.m. a candle drops to 80,188, and the bands to its right fade.
Those positions were force-closed. Closer to 5 p.m. the price comes back there a second time. It passes the next bands, right at 80,000, and at 16:55 makes a low of 79,722. The bands fade and the price turns up.
At 20:17 it is already at 82,639. You can also see the map change over time. A bright band around 79,500 disappeared back in the morning. Around 8:30 its owners closed their positions or added margin.
The map shows where other people's leverage sits. Before a trade it is handy to see at once whether your stop sits in a crowd of others' liquidations and how much of other people's money lies in the price's path.
