Liquidation mapWhere to see a crypto liquidation map

A liquidation map shows the prices where leveraged longs and shorts get force-closed and how much money stands at each price. Several services draw such maps, and they differ more than their names suggest. This page says what to check in any of them and lists what Liqwall has and what it does not.

What do people mean by a liquidation map?

Three different things go by this name. A tool may have one, two or all three — check which one you are looking at.

  1. A liquidation map shows the levels of one moment: bars by price with a dollar amount at each level. It answers the question "what stands above and below the price right now".
  2. A liquidation heatmap shows the same levels over time on the price chart. It answers the question "how did this cluster grow, and has the price already taken it".
  3. Liquidations that have already happened show how much was force-closed in the last hour or day. They answer the question "what just happened", not "what is waiting".

What should I check in any liquidation map?

  1. Which exchanges does the map cover: one, several or all of them together?
  2. Does each level carry a dollar amount, or only a colour?
  3. Is there history: can you see how a cluster was built?
  4. How fresh is it, and does the page state the time of its numbers?
  5. What is free, and what opens only after sign-up or payment?

What does Liqwall have?

  • A liquidation map for 61 Hyperliquid markets, built on real open positions, with a dollar amount at each level and two days of history. It is free and needs no sign-up.
  • A liquidation map by exchange for 11 coins: Binance, OKX, Bybit, Gate, Hyperliquid and other venues on one chart, with the share of each exchange at every level.
  • A liquidation heatmap for Binance and other exchanges: Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana.
  • Liquidations that have happened: the last 24 hours, by coin, hour by hour, and a page for every finished day.
  • The numbers as text on every page — the price, the amounts near the price, the largest levels and the time — so they can be quoted.
  • In the terminal, with a free account: the same maps on the price chart next to the order book, stop orders and take-profits of Hyperliquid, and alerts when the price comes to a level.

What does Liqwall not have?

  • The liquidation heatmap for exchanges other than Hyperliquid covers three coins: Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana.
  • The open pages keep two days of history. Deeper history is in the terminal and depends on the plan.
  • Day-by-day liquidation totals start on September 4, 2026. There are no earlier days.
  • There is no app in the app stores. The terminal installs from the browser.

Questions and answers

Is the Liqwall liquidation map free?

Yes, and it needs no sign-up. A free account adds alerts, stops and take-profits on the same map and the terminal.

Which liquidation map is the most accurate?

No map shows the future: levels move as traders open and close positions. Look at what the map is built on, how fresh it is and whether it shows amounts, and compare two sources before you decide.

Can I put a liquidation map on my own site?

Yes. Every Liqwall map page has a code to embed the live map.

How do I read a liquidation map?

Step by step — in the guide How to read a liquidation map.
