Part of Liqwall's data is open to everyone: you can read it in a browser, in your own code or through an AI assistant. The answers are JSON over HTTPS, the same for everyone and refreshed about once a minute.
What is open?
| Address | What it returns |
|---|---|
/api/v1/free/fng?coin=ALL | The Fear and Greed Index for the whole market (ALL) or for BTC, ETH, SOL: the value from 0 to 100, the state in a word, the values a day, a week and a month ago and the daily history |
/api/v1/free/liqs?n=40&min=5000&coins=BTC,ETH,SOL | The latest liquidations of the last hour: time, coin, side, dollars, price, exchange; the sums of longs and shorts for the last hour and the last 24 hours |
/api/v1/free/xmap?coin=BTC | Liquidation levels by exchange around the price for 11 coins: the price, the step of levels, dollars per exchange at each level below and above the price |
/liquidations/days.csv | Liquidations by day as a file: day, longs, shorts and total, in dollars |
/api/v1/pub/strat | Closed trades of the strategies shown on the page Strategies |
Times are Unix seconds; in the list of liquidations they are milliseconds. There is no point in asking more often than once a minute: the answer will be the same.
Can I get the same data as text?
Yes. Every data page of the site carries its numbers as plain text with the time they refer to — for example the BTC liquidation map or Liquidations today. If you need a number to quote, the page is enough.
How do AI assistants get the data?
The MCP server at https://liqwall.com/mcp gives market data to an assistant directly. Four tools work without a key: liquidation_map, liquidations, derivatives and fear_greed. The other tools need an API key (Basic plan and above). How to connect is on the page API and MCP. A description of the site for assistants is in llms.txt.
What does an API key add?
The market data API starts on the Start plan: order books, trades, open interest, funding, liquidations and options of 14 exchanges, Hyperliquid positions and walls, with history by plan — from 60 to 1,500 requests per minute. On the Advanced plan the history can be downloaded as files.
How do I cite the data?
Quote the numbers with a link to the page or the address they come from, for example: "Liqwall, liqwall.com/liquidations".
The full history of 14 exchanges is in the terminal and in the API — from the Start plan.Free forever — this is not a trial. Sign-up takes a minute, no card required.
Questions and answers
Is there a free Fear and Greed Index API?
Yes: /api/v1/free/fng — the whole market, Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana, with daily history.
Is there a free liquidation data API?
The latest liquidations, the liquidation levels by exchange and the daily totals are open without a key. Deeper history and the other series need an API key.
Do I need to register?
No. The open answers need no key and no account.
How often can I ask?
The answers are refreshed about once a minute; asking more often gives the same answer.
