Questions and answers
How much crypto was liquidated today?
The number at the top of the page is the dollar amount of leveraged positions force-closed across the crypto market in the last 24 hours, with longs and shorts below it; under them are the split by coin and the hours when it happened.
What is a liquidation in crypto?
The forced closing of a leveraged position by the exchange when the trader's margin no longer covers the loss. A liquidated long is closed by selling, a liquidated short — by buying.
How often are the liquidation numbers updated?
The 24-hour figures are updated every few minutes, and the text of the page states their time. Every finished day gets its own page that keeps the numbers of that day.
Where can I see liquidations by coin and by day?
Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, Dogecoin, HYPE and BNB have their own pages with the last 24 hours. Every finished day has a page of its own, and the table by day can be downloaded as a file.
Where can I see liquidations before they happen?
On the liquidation maps: they show the price levels where longs and shorts will be force-closed and how much money stands at each level.
How much does the liquidation data cost?
Nothing: the page is free and opens without sign-up, and the numbers may be quoted with a link to Liqwall. The same data as a chart with history is in the terminal, where a free account has no time limit; paid plans start at $29 a month.
